Johnstown SCHEELS 2023 Giving Campaign Winners Have Been Selected!
Thank you to everyone that submitted a vote through our SCHEELS Giving Campaign over the past few weeks! We are grateful to be a part of such a supportive community and are looking forward to continuing to build relationships with the many organizations that applied for a grant!
HERE ARE THE 2023 WINNERS:
- House of Neighborly Service - Helping to cover increased food costs within their food pantry
- United Way of Weld County - Diaper Drive initiative to provide diapers to Weld County families
- Avery's Light - Starting up a Teahouse to employ those with special needs and give them job experience
- The Salvation Army - Helping provide medical respite shelter care for those experiencing homelessness
- Mountain States Children's Home - Helping to cover food costs for their families using the Home
- ChildSafe Colorado - Helping to offer free play therapy sessions to kids going through the Child Sexual Abuse Program
- 3Hopeful Hearts - Being able to expand their retreat program for families going through the loss of a child
- Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado - Helping to restore trails and habitats in Weld County
- A Woman's Place - Helping to increase ADA accessibility for clients in their new shelter
- Loveland Baseball Association - Helping to add improvements to Centennial Baseball Complex for league and tournament use
- Windsor Warriors AFC - Help subsidize registration fees for players through their ‘Play It Forward’ program
- Can'd Aid - Helping to cover the cost of purchasing a fully accessible wheelchair swing that can be independently-operated by a wheelchair user
- The Loveland Community Kitchen - Helping to buy meals for those experiencing homelessness
- Veterans Plaza of NoCo - Helping to fund their Vet2Vet fund where they can offer emergency funding to veterans that is not available through government or regional programs
- Healing Warriors - Help to cover costs of their non-narcotic therapies and suicide prevention efforts so veterans can use them free of charge
- Family Housing Network - Help to keep their Day Center open where families can take a shower, wash clothes, get employment and housing resources, and work with a case manager to work on a plan for the family
- Adaptive Adventures - Help enhance their fully mobile adaptive sports program offering individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to experience the outdoors
- A Precious Child - Help with the needed funds to operate their Empowerment Resource Center
- Make-A-Wish Colorado - Help cover the cost of a Disney wish for a local Wish kid
- Sky Corral Ranch - Help with a kitchen remodel to eliminate the need of groups bringing in their own food to fill any missing gaps
Partnering with Local Organizations
Our Johnstown SCHEELS team works with and supports over 500 non-profit organizations throughout the year. This includes partnerships with local athletic programs that span from preschool to college-age groups as well as supporting local youth education programs. We partner with local human service groups for various special event sponsorships as well as environmental and wildlife partners to encourage outdoor adventures.
