Store History
Coming fall of 2024, SCHEELS is opening its first store in the Oklahoma region on October 19th. “We are thrilled to announce our first store coming to Oklahoma and excited to join the Woodlands Hills Mall in Tulsa,” said former SCHEELS CEO Steve M. Scheel. Once opened, Tulsa SCHEELS will house 75 specialty shops within 240,000 square feet of retail space housing over a million products from hunting gear to home decor, and everything in between.
As an employee-owned company, SCHEELS prides itself on great customer service and Expert knowledge of the products being sold. The Tulsa store will showcase premium products and top brands as well as boutique fashion and entertainment attractions. SCHEELS isn’t just an ordinary sporting goods store, it’s an experience.
Customers will receive the best experience in retail, as the Tulsa SCHEELS team is trained to provide expert-level knowledge, helping customers improve performance, maximize their passions, and achieve their goals. With a full-service bike service shop, bow & firearms service center, archery lanes, Foresight golf simulators, and a state-of-the-art HitTrax hitting bay, our SCHEELS Experts can get your gear properly fitted and repaired for your next adventure.
Tulsa SCHEELS will also be a destination for fun with plenty of family-friendly attractions for all ages. These include a 45-foot Ferris wheel, a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium with more than 600 fish, a wildlife mountain, Fuzziwig’s Candy Shop, and more. Shoppers will have the opportunity to enjoy interactive arcade games, sports simulators, and specialty treats at Ginna’s Café, a restaurant serving gourmet soups and sandwiches, homemade fudge, and specialty coffee.
Tulsa SCHEELS will employ more than 450 associates, all employee-owners, who look forward to bringing their experience and enthusiasm to the community. Tulsa is SCHEELS 34th location, with 33 existing stores and another opening in Cedar Park, Texas in 2026. SCHEELS is excited to start serving the Tulsa community when the doors open on October 19th, 2024.
