One of the two allen screws loosened and fell out during a ride. It is a unique 7mm x 30mm screw with a very small head. The Comp seat post has a really high gloss finish with a nicely designed seat clamp system that is easy to use and secure. It isn't especially heavy given the cost and certainly looks a lot more expensive than it is. Subtle Bontrager branding is lazer etched for durability.\nDown side, literally, is that it slipped into the frame by 25mm on my first ride with it. I removed it, cleaned off what I thought was excessive grease and from inside the alloy seat tube and tried again. Still slipped so removed 90% of the grease and tightened the clamp to 8nm. And again it slipped! The finish is so glossy it doesn't want to grip at all. I've now used sand paper to buff up the part that goes inside the frame, applied carbon gripper paste and risked tightening the clamp to 9nm which, fingers crossed worked this morning, no slip!\nIf it wasn't such a nice seat post I'd probably have given up with it and I'll be happy if it continues to stay in place. Whether it would hold better in a carbon frame or with a wedge clamp I don't know but it's worth bearing in mind if you decide to buy it.
