I have always wanted a .22LR DA revolver of this quality. It is a dead heat between this model and the Ruger variant in my opinion. I chose the Smith because of availability, familiarity & sale price. I own several other S&W's models 49, 610 4\", 629 PC SH & 649. Bar none this is the funnest to shoot and added bonus .22LR price when available. I believe it'll shoot .22S without a hitch but have not had the chance to check with the manufacturer.
