I don’t get to fish a whole lot anymore but I can tell the difference between a good economically priced rod and a bad rod. This rod was very lightweight feeling and is 6’9” medium heavy action. It paired very well with my reel. I had used it several times and loved the rod. The next year I pulled it back out and prepped it for a fishing trip with my brother. After the second day of fishing I saw that the insert in the rod tip came out. I pushed it back in and continued using it. It kept popping back out and then before I could get back to the camp site, I broke my line and I lost the insert. I know I can replace the tip but it never seems to be the same.
