Allows the flies to have maximum movement, but size 00 deform easily so go easy when opening and closing them. They're strong and secure when locked closed. Size 0 snaps are great for small crankbaits and jigs, but again, handle with care so as not to deform them while opening and closing them. Size 1 snaps are the over all winner. Size 1 are nice and small, along with being really rugged, and will work with all lures, even small saltwater plugs. Size 1 do not deform easily. Size 2 snaps are too rugged. Size 2, although small, are very hard to open and close by hand.
