Set up was easy. The area is a cellphone deadzone so i had concerns, but was hopeful it would work due to the companies boast of it hooking up to any of the 4 major cell networks. Set up was easy and it did send pictures. And that’s where it all falls apart.\n\nThe pictures were crisp and clear. I was overjoyed. I got the subscription plan for 1000 pictures each month with 10 videos. Its supposed to have smart tech to eliminate false triggers. It did not act like it. Within the first 5 days i had over 500 pics and only 3 of them had pictures of anything and that was only raccoons. So i went into the settings to modify its bias towards certain zones that may be causing the false triggers. Yeah that didn’t work either. By day 11 i had used all 1000 pics and only 20 were of anything other than landscape. The 1000 counts to all pics regardless if you delete them in case you didn’t know. \n\nWell it must still take pictures even after the subscription count is filled because by day 15, despite filling all 16 battery slots for extra life, it had died. Went out today, on the second day that the new 1000 counts should have restarted, and repositioned the camera to look at a different area. Reloaded the batteries and went on my way. Took a look just now and I’m already out of my 1000. What they don’t tell you is it counts those pictures it took during the last period after your quota was filled against next months quota. That is such utter bs. Picked up one of the pros to replace an old card camera. I’m surprised at how much better the camera is over the edge 2. Better cell signal, better sensitivity to activity, better pics. I didn’t believe the “no-glow” would make a difference, but it does. Haven’t had a single pic where the deer is looking at the camera. It just goes unnoticed. Unfortunately the Moultrie cams have no SD card capabilities so you are completely a hostage to their subscription plans.
