One pair was retired after being torn open glissading Mount St. Helens, one was retired after a barbed wire incident during deer season, another eventually fell apart from love.\nI replaced few pairs of retired pants in 2023 and was distraught. These pants are a shadow of what they once were. The seams pop if you bend over, the elastic strands break and makes the pants look hairy, and they hang like a pair of sweatpants. \nFlexibility is good but you pop seams every time you stretch them and they are light enough to breath. While the material is light, soft, and stretchy, the fit is weird. I’m 5’11, 180lbs, with an athletic build. I bought a 34x32 to be loose in the waist and a little baggy. These were unfortunately really big, and the cut around ankles is super loose (like they’d fit around my mountaineering boots) but look silly with regular sneakers on. \n\nFortunately/unfortunately they did not shrink in the wash so I guess I’ll wait for my second puberty to hit to see if I grow into these.
