I was excited to find a size 4 because our little one is an avid walker with tiny feet. They fit into the size 4, but the liners are so poorly crafted that it takes much effort to get her foot into the boot. I actually have to take out the liner and stick her foot in it separately before putting the boot on her right foot. It has a permanent bend in it. The left foot works fine. I knew my son was a size 5, so I didn’t bother to try them on. Absolutely could NOT get his foot into the boot with the liners in. Pulled them out, and tried to put them on like socks before putting them in the boot. The liners probably equated a size 3. There was no way my son’s foot was getting in them. We ended up doing multiple layers of socks, and that seem to work. The outer shell of the boots is super sturdy. Columbia just needs to get their sizing right. My 2 year old daughter's foot length is 5.25 inches and the chart said to order a Size 9 and a sales representative confirmed that would be the appropriate size. Against my better judgement I ordered the Size 9 and it was way too big - there was about 2 inches of space between her toes and the front of the thermal insert. I reordered a Size 5 (her actual shoe size) and the boots are somewhat difficult to put on her feet (likely because of the rigidity of the sole). A Size 6 would likely have been better.
