The stiff boot is great and saved me from rolling my ankles on more than one occasion. Also, the traction/lugs were great digging into the trails. We got soaked from a wet snow one evening and the boots did get a little wet inside but then again everything was wet. My toes did stay warm! I have wide feet, and I ordered a wide boot. However, the leather is thin, and has already broke down to the point that the outside of my foot is bulging out of the side, and because this is a goodyear welted boot, it has become too painful to wear anymore. I have worn the boots outside, so I wont be able to return them.
