I know it's not because of my toe nails because I keep them short, plus it doesn't even rub there. And I don't do any kicking or any activities that would create a hole. For the price I paid, I really expected better quality. These are the most expensive shoes I've purchased, and the only pair where a hole has developed like this. I'm sad because this was a splurge to have matching shoes with my partner, and I like how they look and they've been comfortable. His shoes did not have this issue, just mine so maybe mine had some issues in the mesh area.
