It blocks the wind and rain. It feels great to wear. The pockets are a breathable mesh. The mesh lining inside creates a nice air barrier. The color is exactly what I expected. The medium size fits perfectly and with enough room to layer. The hood fits great as well. The hood could use different closures . Like the push button ones found on other items . The hood could also use the velcro adjustment feature . Everything else is perfect . The velcro closures on the sle are great . The pockets all zip . The lining is comfortable . The two tone color is nice . I haven't had a chance to test waterfroofing , durability , insulation or breathability . My experience with Columbia assures me that these systems work super efficiently . The fit is great .
