They were fantastic. No sores, blisters, etc and I felt stronger the further into the race I got. Training obviously played a role in that but this was my 14th Boston and the only time my legs felt strong enough to make the last 1.2 miles my fastest of the day. It's usually with road shoes intended for speed training or racing. These shoes are too narrow and also have all-around undersizing. Maybe it's a numbers game: Hoka doesn't think there's enough runners out there that want a speed/plate shoe, but have normal to wide feet. Even the idea of unisex is kind of weird - men's and women's feet are different.
