This rod has a really fast tip, which is awesome for quick hooksets. If you'd tango with a bigger fish, there is a good deal of stiff backbone to handle it. If I were in the market for a new walleye rod, I would 100% consider this rod. The syncork handle is fantastic, too; it is really light yet stiff. Tape your reel at the perfect balance point, and this rod couldn't feel any better in your hand if you ask me.
