They are a textured rubber but feel light on your feet so I can walk in these for a long time.\nThe color is super cute. The Mustard yellow is a great pop of color with any outfit especially when it's raining. \nI primarily use them to walk my dog, run errands, anytime it's raining and I need a quick shoe to wear.\n\nOnly issue is they can run big and wide but it's a boot. They're sturdy & have comfortable footbeds but aren't too heavy or clunky. Depending on the brand, I'm usually a size 8 or 8.5. Based on some of the reviews I read saying these ran a little bit, I ended up going with size 8 and am glad I did. They fit perfectly.
