I honestly thought nothing could compare, but I was wrong. The Norvan 4s are just as comfortable—if not more so—than the 3s. The only slight downside is that they feel a little tighter than the previous version, so I did have to size up, but it’s a minor issue compared to the overall performance and comfort. I unfortunately don’t live near much off road terrain and end up using these a lot on pavement, but even for pavement, they’re quick, durable, and adapt well to road conditions. They’re also pretty grippy in snow and icy conditions. The shoe laces are a bit slick, but there’s a little pocket on the tongue of the shoe where you can tuck the laces to keep them tied and out of the way. One of the best aspects of these shoes is how washable they are.
