I found it on sale which made me decide to get it. It's still the same price as an electronic clay thrower. Which makes it a tough purchase compared to those. One of my biggest deciding factors was that I keep it in a remote location on a farm and so I didn't want to worry about a battery. The big pedal to rotate the throwing arm and recock the thrower is too hard for those small in stature. The small pedal is very light. Overall it's fine. I like how portable it is. The instructions are trash. Went through two different brands of clays and had breakage on most of them. Cleaned out multiple times. It’s a hundred dollar clay thrower but cost four hundred dollars. Most of them broke after a month of using it. I replaced them with heavy gauge weed trimmer line. So far so good. I hope this suggestion helps anyone with the same problem. Looks sturdy, fun, easy to use. First issue I noted was the constant breaking of clays as you work the pedal and it feeds itself. Even with 10 clays in the hopper they break. Next is the launch pedal basically does not release the clays. I have to stomp very chard on it and even then it hardly will launch them. My foot will be all the way slammed down and still won’t launch. Have shot about 100 clays. Both the flurry mode and standard mode work well. This packs away nicely and has been a lot of fun. Easy to adjust. Only complaint is kids can’t push the load pedal, it’s too hard. The cable snapped within the first 30 minutes. I understand if you are negligent or don’t read the manual things can go wrong, but I did read this is with diligence and honestly it’s just a poor quality thrower. Maybe I have one off we’ll see.
