Fast forward to getting back into it in my local beer league and I gave this a shot because taking a slash or skate to the neck is not worth the risk for me. This is the most comfortable neck guard I’ve ever worn. I should have gone a size up but with the medium/large at the last 1/3 of it’s diameter this feels like I’m wearing an extension of my undershirt on my neck. It’s form fitting and allows rotation, flexion and extension of my neck without bunching up. I have a shirt I use, otherwise I would have gone with the shirt/guard combo. If you’re looking for protection this is a great option. Thanks for making a product that doesn’t make me have to think about it affecting performance while I play. One bit of feedback I’d add is, making the guard a bit taller. I notice when it settles during the game the top half of my cervical spine is still exposed. I highly doubt anything will ever make its way in that space without being stopped by the guard, but an additional inch more or less of height might make the risk near zero without sacrificing comfort.
