Total lack of instructions. That said, Wendy in support talked to me at 9:30pm and emailed all night thru this disastrous cook. A+++ for service, but would not recommend the FireBoard products for a Big Joe. Will try it again by recalibrating probes, stabilizing temp BEFORE I put blower on and shutting top vent to a sliver, and relocating the grate temp probe. If I can’t get it to hold temp, I’ll return to manufacturer for a replacement, and if it is no better back to Scheels for a full refund. Easy to use and set up, the one piece of advice is when starting the smoker use very few brickets 4-5 tops and let it naturally raise to cooking temp. It was time to switch brands, so after doing a lot of research and reading reviews, Fireboard is what I got him. Great reviews & a really big factor for me is that it is MADE IN THE USA! It hooked up to our wi fi immediately! The app is very easy to figure out and allows us to label each probe within the app. It ran our pit viper fan fine on our first cook, but we decided it was underpowered and added the Fireboard fan to our arsenal. We did our first overnight cook with the new fan and were extremely happy. It's great to have smoke only coming out of grill and not grill guy's ears. I love this controller. The we/app interface is awesome. The best feature is that it controls the speed of my fan. The old controller was either full force or off.
