The stow-away straps are great, and a hard feature to find. Everything seems easy to use and thoughtfully designed. . . except the lining. The light color of the lining is helpful for finding things. But the lining is loose, not fully connected to the bag, which means it shifts around and you can get a handful of it when you're trying to remove something from the bag. It also isn't totally smooth, so things don't easily glide in and out. This makes it clumsy to use. Love the water bottle pockets which was another reason I bought this bag. But I will be traveling and need the space Also there aren't any loops for the excess backpack straps, I was able to tuck the end through the D ring on the bottom so they don't dangle but otherwise they'd be hanging loose. I used to own a Travel Gear store in San Diego and I am a travel bag geek. I purchased a new Soleil to replace the bag I have been using for years which was a predecessor to the Soleil. I love the new front pocketing, the new fabric and the light colored interior. \n\nI was disappointed in the new bag due to the sloppiness of the interior lining. The way my old bag was sewn the elements of the interior stayed in place and supported things like my laptop, eyeglasses, pens, etc. The new bag seems to have a lining that is assembled separately and then paired with the main bag and just sewn at the top and tacked at the bottom and the whole think kind of caves in when in use. My husband (5’11) and I (5’8”) think the backpack straps are too short. They dug into the spot in front of our shoulders after a couple hours of walking around Chicago and it hurt. My Prima Travel Cross body fit inside it (with wallet, phone, passport, lip stuff, hand sanitizerin the Prima), Nice to put this on your back, and the crossbody underneath it for up front quick access and secure location for vital id and money. Used it on all day \"tour bus\" excursions, as well as walking on foot around cities for water, sunscreen, hat, and other clothing layers. So pleased with this bag!
