I knew that going in. What I didn't know was how difficult it would be to start. First, you have to follow a 12-step program just to get it primed. Then, it makes every attempt to rip your arm off when you try to start it! The pull mechanism is so dangerously strong that it has ripped it out of my hand. Of course, after about 30 seconds of trying to start it you flood the engine. Rinse and repeat! My old saw was having issues so to speed it up I decided it was time for a new one. Got the saw home, put fuel and chain oil in it and it wouldn't start. I pulled the panel off and saw gas in the air filter. I headed back to town to exchange it. They would not exchang it even though it had never ran. They would send it in for warranty repair.\n\nOver a month passed without hearing anything from Big R. I finally drove down to see how much longer I had to wait. They said it was back. No call from them. They brought it out and it was greasy, scuffed up, and grass straw all over it. They the. Said I owed them an additional 60 dollars for the warranty repair. I lost it. They told me some things are not covered under Stihl's warranty. I informed them that this saw never ran and any repairs made were flaws in manufacturing.\n\nIf this represents Stihl's warranty and commitment to providing solid product with excellent service, they are not a worthy company.\n\nAs far as the saw goes? I have no idea.
