I’m a maintenance employee and wore them yesterday during an ice storm up here in nh. I was completely surprised when I realized I was standing in 4 inches of water and my feet remained dry!! I just couldn’t believe it. My feet remained dry all day while working in some pretty extreme sleet and rainy weather. I worked outside all day. I love my Davenport boots and don highly recommend them if you work in extreme fall and especially winter climates. ! I have had a variety of brand name boots timberland Chippewa Dr Martin. You get the picture. But none meet the standards of keen boots. I’m excited to purchase a pair of work shoes/ sneakers for this summer. I've had this boot for about a month now and they're perfect. True to size. Great traction. Not too high up on the legs so not to interfere with driving. Already a handful of days below 5° (it's only mid-Dec), and I haven't had to complain once about my feet being cold. Don’t like my toes being squished a little wiggle room is better specially if you’re wearing winter socks . I put on a pair of socker socks and it’s perfect I also wear a 7mm lift inside my right shoe which with other footwear has made a big difference on how the ankle part feels . I’ve experienced NO difference! Awesome feel no rubbing on that ankle bone at all. I think I’ll be very happy with these boots.. a little stiff but, I just got them and really like how the front part let’s my toes expand naturally when I walk, order Wide if you like that kind of freedom for you feet. Hate a shoe or boot that fits so tight you can’t wear socks with them cause it makes even tighter. The ankle padding is terribly uncomfortable and the insulation tag rubs on your ankle bone. You have to cut that tag out with a seem remover or it will drive you nuts. They also prematurely crack where they flex behind your toes. I have numerous coworkers who also got them for the polar traction outsole and nobody likes them.
