I found it burned hot for about 35-40 minutes using the recommended amount of wood pellets topped with a few dry bits of wood. It was easy to start using the included fire starter.\nThe temperature is difficult to regulate, was very hot even on lowest fan setting, so that required careful planning of what to cook when. I was able to cook a meal and boil several litres of water for dishes on one burn time. I found it was next to impossible to add fuel and get it to burn. I suspect one needs to add it while the flame is still hot. \nMy only real concern is the small support for cooking pots. It is unstable and I managed to spill two pots of hot food. Perhaps an additional secure folding grate with extended arms that could be fitted over the burn chamber would be a useful piece of equipment to add. I did not buy the kit but am wondering if the pot/ kettle would be more stable, if limited in scope. All in all, I was impressed with the fuel efficiency and the burning of wood gas at the top ventilation holes and almost complete combustion of fuel. I use regular grilling pellets in my stove when using this. It is very hard to control the temperature so you have to learn to use the grill edges for lower temperatures and close to the stove open for very hot temps. Adding pellets to the stove while grilling can be fun at times. You just have to be fast so you don't get burned, and only add more pellets a little bit at a time or else you could actually smother the fire.\r\nI have grilled steaks, burgers, dogs, apples and even baked a cake with the stove and grill attachment.\r\nThe material that the stove is made from is not the highest quality and after about a 6 or so outings the grill inside area, flame diffuser, and the grill grate will start to rust. and that is just from the Stainless Steel Looking material just burning off. Then the intergraded lid (flap you open to add more \"fuel\") with not open/close when the rivet used rusts :( but I have been using aluminum foil to over the grilling grate. I don't believe the 1 yar warranty covers that. I take good care of m camping gear as I camp year round; sun, rain, snow. \r\n\r\nI do wish the metal that the grill was made of, was a much superior grade. The finish is holding up after a good number of uses. One thing to watch for is that the fuel lid cover may have a sharp edge underneath- nothing that can’t be fixed with a file. The heat isn’t entirely even but that’s expected given the shape. I used this grill over the last weekend to cook some bbq. Sausages cooked great and my burgers did well the next day. You have to let it heat up and there lies the issue. The inner heating element and grill grates are more rigid than the outside basin. The inner sections move or the outside changes shape which makes them no longer fit together properly. Which makes the heating in even. I plan to modify mine with some stainless steel screws and wing nuts to hold everything together in the future. The outside piece isn’t quite the right shape anymore for the plastic cover which now barely fits. This is after the uses.
