The first is that the picture is misleading. It makes it look like you are getting two different pieces instead of showing the height difference. All it would take is some arrows beside it to show the difference or a line showing max and min height. The second was something I read in another review which is true. If you unscrew it just a tad too much, there are 3 shims that will fall out. I happened to be in my kitchen and was able to find them easily and put back in. But if that happens out in a field, good luck. So just be very careful. The rubber covering the rest helps keep the fore end in place while shooting.\r\n\r\nWhen adjusting the height, you only need to turn the adjustment nut a couple of turns to loosen it. If you keep unscrewing it, the shims will fall out. They are easy to put back in but again you only need to turn the nut a couple of turns. About a year ago I decided to give this a try and I'm glad I did. I'm amazed how solid it is. The legs and cradle don't rattle, shake, or bind up at all, and everything is smooth in operation. When it's on the bench, there's absolutely no unwanted movement. Plus this had the added ability to better show me how my gun moves when shooting it. I use it primarily for bench shooting my Savage .308 and Ruger 6.5 Creedmoor. I noticed when shooting the guns right away that both of them tried to jump out of the cradle. I never noticed that with the bipods because the bipods jumped with the guns. It caused me to consider putting a muzzle brake on the Creedmoor (since it's already threaded), and that was another good move. There's now almost no muzzle rise and much less backward recoil, and my groups are tighter. And I never would have noticed any of this if it weren't for the Bog Rapid Shooting Rest Tripod. Looks like a clamp on muzzle brake is in the future for my .308 now.
