CamelBak Octane 22 Hydration Backpack

Large enough to keep essential gear (layers, small shelter, extra food/water, etc. ) to cover unplanned events as a solo hiker, yet designed well enough to jog in if desired. Vest pockets have plenty of room for 600ml flasks, a large phone, snacks, and more. I use it mostly for backcountry hiking/running, but also for xc skiing at Nordic centers. What would I change? My favorite thing is the vest style shoulder straps that hold a water bottle and my very large samsung phone. And there's still room for lip balm, medium sized pocket knife, glasses and keys. There is so much storage inside the pack and the pocket that holds the hydration bladder seems to have some insulation because my ice cold water bottles stay that way in the hot south florida weather for many hours while hiking. This really is my favoite pack. The only downside to this pack is it really hugs your back causing a sweaty back for me. It easily holds all my heart, extra socks, shoes, clothing and any extras. It has numerous pockets and organizational pouches, which is awesome. I like having a separate compartment for the hydration bladder. I like to put ice in my Camelbak stoaway reservoir (excellent product as well), which results in some condensation, so I appreciate my water having it's own compartment so the rest of my stuff doesn't get wet. I can't get my phone into the zipper pocket on the vest, but it does slide into the pouch behind the zipper, and thus far it has not fallen out. I usually cannot wear a running vest because I am a small female and the vest pockets are usually unusable due to the girls getting in the way. This vest however, fits different, possibly because it's larger than the running vests I've tried. The waist strap and shoulder straps are cinched all the way down on me, indicating the pack is too big, but the result is that the vest pockets are in a spot that is usable for me. The excess waist straps hang down almost to my knees. The one thing about this pack I really don't like is how the shoulder strap adjustment works. Usually you pull down on the straps to tighten them up, but not on this pack. Why would you design the straps to be pulled up? Loosening the straps in any normal way is nearly impossible and makes adjusting the packs a bit of a pain.
