Thus I decided I'd go with something bigger and more visible. As it turns out it was much more useful than I imagined.\r\n\r\nIt's pretty simple, a magnet. The handle is spring loaded so when you retract it, it pulls the magnet away from the bottom and releases whatever is attached to it. It works equals well for one pin as it does for thousands. The cap over the magnet is aluminum so there is zero residual magnetism to retain even the smallest objects like grit, shavings etc. \r\n\r\nWhat I didn't realize was how much brass shavings, stray primers & primer anvils and other debris gets left behind with the pins. Especially after thousands of rounds being cleaned. The transfer magnet allows you to pick up the pins and drop them in the tumbler barrel leaving behind all the brass shavings and other grime. And depending on what separator you use, it can potentially keep you from dealing with spilled pins when transferring them back to the tumbler barrel.
