Flexibility and shallow angle of plastic collets seem to compromise ability of tool to center the case with the cutter and makes it tough to feel when you are at the set point. Seems to do a good job cutting and replaceable cutter is a good thing. Keep your digital caliper handy and you can do a good job. If you have to trim a thousand 223 cases my WCT(worlds cheapest trimmer) is still the champ. Perhaps a n accessory kit with rigid collets for case diameter and shoulder angle for popular cartridges would make this tool hard to beat. I put this on a drill press to ensure everything was straight. The problem I'm having is that the case length is not consistent after trimming. I confirmed this after marking the top of the brass, and putting it through a manual trimmer. Sure enough, after a few turns, half of it was still black. I discontinued use and accuracy was restored. I’m very happy with the trimmer, it does a great job. I give the trimmer 5 stars. \r\nI got a conformation email right away. After that nothing. I had to call C/S 10 days later for status on my order. 5 or 6 days later it showed up. A week after receiving the trimmer I got an email that it had shipped. Communication from the company is very poor. I found when I was more consistent with how much pressure I applied to the brass, I would get better results.\n\nThe holes in the side work well to see your brass, but the downside is that it throws brass flakes all over the place. I put some clear scotch tape over those holes and just remove and clean the unit ever 100 pieces or so.\n\nFinally, it can leave a burred edge on your case mouth which you'll need to clean with a chamfer tool to get your case mouth cleaned up. I read the promos on the Frankford Arsenal trimmer that is used in a drill. I bought one through Amazon so If it was misrepresented I could return it. I assembled it per the instructions and adjusted the unit to trim the brass to 1.910 inches, every piece came out the same. You will have to chamfer and deburr when the trimming is done. I trimmed 100 pieces in a half hour or less. This is the slickest trimmer I have ever bought, and I have several types that I have bought in my 50 years of loading ammo.
