I’ve either seen great reviews or bad reviews so figured I’d take the leap and purchase one. \n\nWhile the iFetch is an amazing idea, they missed the mark on execution. This product would be 10/10 if iFetch would design a ball that actually worked in the product. \n\nWhere the product falls short is the tennis ball. If your dog has any (literally any) instinct to “chew” or “mouth” the ball, don’t buy this. \n\nThe tennis ball immediately loses grip being any bit wet. Also, most tennis balls are 2 halves that are only held together by light glue and the felt covering. 1 or 2 bites of the ball, it splits and then can’t be used. My dog went through all 3 balls pretty much on 3 throws. Just one bite and the ball would split, rendering it useless. \n\nThe launcher actually works pretty well. It has great distance and isn’t loud like some reviews say. If your dog is scared of this I’m sure it is literally scared of everything. \n\nAll in all, I’ll be trying to return this. If iFetch would design a single-shell ball instead of just rebranding some tennis balls, this would be a worthwhile purchase. Without a working ball, it’s basically useless (or very expensive buying tens of hundreds of tennis balls). \n\nTo iFetch if you’re reading this: figure out how to design a single-shell ball similar to a chuck-it or other “non-destructible” (I used that term lightly) that is covered in standard tennis ball felt, then sell a pack of 2 with some margin. You’d save 75% or higher in returns and boost reviews.
