I don't know if the knife I bought has a manufacturing flaw or if they are all like this, but the tip of the blade (last half inch) is paper thin. I can move it easily with my thumb. The cheapest kitchen knife I've ever seen has a stronger tip. Any positives I could mention about this knife are useless considering the weakness of the blade. Very, very cheaply made. I wasted $45. There are way better knives for the money. I typically don't care for serrations; but on this particular knife they only use up a very small portion of a very large cutting surface. There's still ample regular edge for fine cutting, and the small serrated section for tough, problematic materials; so that was well designed. And of course there's also the sawback feature along the spine, and the hammer pommel. A finger guard was a necessity, and the abbreviated hook at the pommel end helps generate torque when chopping while helping prevent the knife from flying out of the hand while doing so.
