It's nice and low to the ground, so you really feel like you're lounging. My wife is shorter, so some chairs leave her legs on her tippy toes. This can eventually be a pain on your knees if you're sufficiently chilling. It would be like sitting on a ski lift for an extended period of time.\r\n\r\nAnyways, also because it's nice and low, it's very inviting to the dog. The bucket-style seat is a perfect cup for him to curl up in and stay off the cold and dirty ground. This is mostly good cause then he's not dirty in the tent. However, this leads me to my biggest regret: not buying the 3 seater. My wife on one side, dog in the middle, and me on the other side; both humans have cupholders for either a 1 liter water bottle or a 12oz can. What could be more ideal?\r\n\r\nThe nature of the deep bucket seats also means that it's not very comfortable to fully lie down in. But, with some slouching, the back rest is tall enough that it can become a headrest, which is really nice.\r\n\r\nPackability: I wouldn't prefer the chair be any taller, even if it meant a headrest. While it's a bulky, luxurious, car camping/river rafting love seat/couch, I love that it packs down to the same height as my other camp chairs and camp tables. It makes packing the truck or packing the raft much more straightforward since everything is roughly the same size.\r\n\r\nThis would be a fairly niche purpose, but I wish the fabric were removable for river activities. That way, while on the river, you could store it away in a dry bag separately from all the metal. This isn't a common feature on other chairs, but some are made of mesh and other material that dries faster. Besides, it seems like giving the fabric a good wash every once in a while could be a good idea.\r\n\r\nMine has held up great through many river trips and car camping adventures over the past few years. My buddy's is a few years older, has been receiving the same abuse, and is still going strong.\r\n\r\nGreat product! Buy one. At 6’4” and 220 it’s got all the room I need and it’s comfy enough to nap in. With it being so low it feels like a lounge chair. I also get asked about it all the time. I’ve had one issue with their standard chair and it was replaced without issue. I would say I feel like the warranty should last longer for the price. Or at least cover the frame for a longer period. That being said I still keep buying them. I’d like to see a mesh one for summer.
