I have a more expensive knife with an automatic open that I carry when I am out and about, but for a basic around-the-house knife a flip knife works just fine, and this one is very nice. It is a nice light weight and small enough to feel comfortable in the hand or in the pocket, but big enough to accomplish basic tasks around the house.
