Daily use for cutting, scraping, peeling and slicing various materials, meats, fruits and vegetables i use alcohol or soap and water to clean the blade frequently and have not seen any corrosion or discoloration and pitting at all !! Im very happy with this knife and re-sharpening is easy with the slide through blade sharpener im using. Two years of salt water later, the spring had rusted into a solid piece of metal. I spent 5 minutes filling out a parts request and two weeks later I had a new spring and working knife again! I don't use it in my edc rotation but carry it as a gentleman's auto. There's a lot of reviews on here complaining about it not lasting long as an edc but that's clearly not what it's designed for. The button doesn't stick like others have commented, nor has the carbon fiber peeled off yet. And that's because I left it in my pocket once and sent it through the washing machine AND dryer. I guess that shows how it has a good pocket clip too? I did break the tip at one point because I dropped it, but I re-profiled it and it's been stronger now if anything. \nIt's beat up, but still functions great. A little pricey but you see and feel the quality and the blade holds a pretty good edge. My only complaint is that it's to smooth, it wants to slip out of my hand . I'm extra cautious when using the launch 8 so as to not cut my self . It needs some kind of grip coating or finger holds.
