This also means I can wear all of my boots over top of the jeans without having to roll the legs up or wear the boots underneath. The denim used is nice and heavy, but without impeding movement. The sheer number of pockets Maven X offers is so useful, and the main pockets are large enough to put my hands in.\n\nThey're definitely good work pants, but my wife noticed the additional rivets along the knee pads and called them \"goth ninja pants,\" and I can confirm they work just as well in the mosh pit as on the job site. I expected these to just be work and hiking pants, but they're much more versatile in both form and function than I was expecting, and they've become everyday jeans for me. \n\nSince Dovetail has its separate HOTSWAP line, I wasn't expecting a cozy inner lining, but I got one and I love it during this chilly autumn here in the Midwestern United States. To be honest, Maven X will probably be a gateway into HOTSWAP pants since I imagine those would work even better in cold weather applications.\n\nI appreciate the transparency with the care instructions. I’ve had several pairs. This new fabric is delicious - soft, stretchy, heavier but this is not a slim cut. The thighs are thick and gives ample room if you are curvy but I’m more slim/straight leg and they are not that. I’m hoping they will conform over time but they are definitely made more roomier than I wanted or expected. The fabric is great, maybe to a skinny cut bc there is so much stretch? Soft, almost like moleskin on the inside. I was hoping for a replacement for the og mavens but I knew these would be heavier. Unfortunately they didn’t fit like the og mavens or the maven X. I got my regular size and the waist fit but the rest of the pants were not a slim fit. And with stretch I knew they would be baggy. I got a size down hoping to stretch the waist but have a slim fit on the rest of my body and that worked. I really like these pants other than the fit issue. They do snag (like on barbed wire) but they are a solid black pant and I’m happy about that. \nI have a short waist with a big belly, thick thighs and short legs.\nFYI The high rise graphene look more like the og mavens in color and weight.
