Definitely bake before use. The hi-lo wheels are great. Smooth and quiet. Awesome agility and speed. One thing I wouldn’t recommend is placing heavy insoles like super feet or arch support insoles. If you want to upgrade, you’re best off with a nice flat footbed. I bought them to do some outside off ice skating/training and they seem like they'll be perfect for that. They're about as stiff as my 3x ice skates (one tier higher) and much stiffer than Bauer's recreational inline skates. I like that they have a familiar Vapor fit. I love that they came with outdoor wheels.
