During the heat of summer my feet don’t get over heated like they use to do. They’re comfortable as can be from out of the box, didn’t have to worry about a break in period. I’m around oil and diesel and all kind of chemicals thru out the day and they are still holding fine! Color is a little lighter than what they look like online. Fit is good. They are new so I'm gonna say the stiffness is probably from that and hopefully they soften up. Not super happy with the quality. Big wrinkles in the leather and some oddly sewn spots. Idk guess time will tell but so far I'd put these in the middle of the pack so to speak. Only complaint is on the tongue. There is something hard at one spot where its stitched to the web for waterproofing. There is a heavy spot of material where the stitching meets that digs into my ankle. Almost makes me not want to wear them. Hoping its a break in period thing. NOW i have a sudden onset of boot stink! i have been in boots my whole life and have never had boots smell like this. i wear good socks and keep my feet dry like LT Dan told me. 9 guys in my shop bought Brunt around the same time last year. we all had the \"stitch stab\" and so far none of us have bought again. 2 went back to Thorogood's and one to redwing.
