My fiancé is a lineman. I've been washing his FR close for 3.5 years and never have I seen any FR clothes be ripped, not once, but 3 times in 2 times wearing. And the first time he wore it was during an interview pole climb when the pocket got ripped so it wasn't even like he was working with tools, under hard circumstances, etc. FR clothes are expensive and lineman don't get first responder discounts. I do not recommend.
