After spending more than 30 minutes in any amount of rain, I'm completely soaked. Hopefully it's just a defect with my particular jacket and isn't a common issue with all of them, but if your marketing consistently says \"waterproof\" and that it's meant for \"steady rain\" then it should meet those standards. Also, the zipper failed after less than 6 months of normal wear and tear, and the only solution is to be without a jacket for a few weeks while it's sent off to another location since it can only be done by Carhartt. Everything other than those two issues has been fine with the jacket. I wear XL t-shirts and hoodies, but ordered this in a Large due to my experience with the Extreme. The L fits perfectly over a very thick XL hoodie, with a little room for additional layering. I'm 5'10\", 195 lbs. Too bad Carhartt skimped on the extras, like pit zips for warm days and a drawstring for the hood in high winds. Those features would make this the best hi-vis rain jacket on the market.
