Well I was warm but I was not dry! I tis water resistant most definitely NOT water proof! We were in a light drizzle while hiking and I was wet! The pockets were the most disappointing as we were on vacation of course I wanted to have my phone for pictures but because it was not waterproof (as it was clearly rated!) they were soaking wet to the point that I could wring them out (I found out the hard way and luckily my phone dried out and was not damaged!). And no it was not from unzipping and getting in the pockets, there are 3 outside pockets, I used 1 for my phone at first and never unzipped the other 2 and all three were soaked through! So I kept my phone in no name $30 Amazon waterproof pants and then it was dry! And my wife was in her new North Face coat was perfectly dry so I guess that is the better choice coat!
