These boots are comfortable, I had no issues with break in and they bend and flex in all the right places (the good) \n\nNow for (the bad) \nThe laces do fall apart very easily, the stitching came apart very fast around the toe of the boot and the soles of the shoe wore down extremely fast and the rubber fell apart pretty quickly.\n\nEven with the bad I get up every morning and truly love this boot, if you take care of the leather even is very harsh environments these will hold up. Am I disappointed yes an expensive boot with the reputation Irish setter and red wing has I was hoping for more longevity but I honestly ran these things through the worst. And they held up fairly decent to competitors as I was getting 6-8 months out of those. Will I be buying another pair unfortunately not. I work outside on generators and am ofter crouched down on my knees, so the reinforced toe cap is very useful to me! The size seems to run a little small. I wear a 12.5 in other boots, but a 14 in these. Walk about 12k steps a day and even with good insoles my feet are aching. The sole just doesn't seem to break in. Also the stitch by the right pinkie toe sticks out and rubs. However these things don't bend or break regardless of how many bushes I tromp through. On the 9th I could barely stand on my feet and this was right at the start of my 10 hour day. My arches felt like I was standing on a 2x4 narrow side up! My wife brought me some other insoles but my feet were way too sore regardless. Took the boots back on the 11th to see if they could make them feel better. We tried every insole to no avail. Couldn't return them due to wearing them even though I had them covered with booties. So I spent another $75 for form fitting insoles thad did nothing.
