They are NOT waterproof at all. There is a hole in the leather from normal use. \nRed Wing dies NOT stand behind their products and refuses to do anything about it. Took them into the store, they said, \"Too bad, so sad.\". Now I'm out $190. Any other brand would be a better option. This was my third purchase of the Ely boot with the first pair lasting me 18 months. Sadly their quality control must have taken a drastic turn for the worse. Until the soles literally fell apart","text":"I enjoyed my Irish Setter lot top boots. Safety toe saved me many times. They were great until both sole split all the way across is almost the exact same spot. Red Wing store said they could not fix them. Shoe repair professional said they are not made to be resoled. I tried wearing them anyway...for less than a day... And BOTH heels blew out. Chunks were gone. Tops look good. Soles are totaled. No known chemical or other exposure...
