I’m a radiologic technologist and I sometimes spend 12-14 hrs standing in the OR. These shoes are super comfortable, durable and supportive. I did add “Sole” brand inserts to add some arch support, which help a lot. I have extremely wide feet and the wides were a perfect fit. My only criticism is that these shoes are pretty hot, and I would love an option without the carbon toe, as I do not need that feature in the medical field. However, there are a couple caveats to note that keep it from getting a 5 star.\n\nDefinitely run large and have a large, almost bell-like toe box. The large toe box helps alleviate foot cramming, so aside from looking kinda funky it works well.\n\nThe insole is the biggest problem for me out the gate. The stock insole was HORRIBLE and left in pretty good foot pain for a week. Luckily, they slip right out and I slipped in another insole from a reputable brand, and it was instantly remedied. \n\nAnother thing to not is the break-in period. Do not get this confused, these are BOOTS, not shoes. You have to break them in for a week or two for them to really get comfortable. The worst was the crease where the carbon toe ended, it just jammed right into the top of my arch. After that week however, they've been great and a much needed step above than my usual athletic shoe. \n\nOverall, I'd definitely recommend these shoes to anyone in a warehouse or a trade that needs protection, but doesn't want a big boot.
