It is difficult to keep them tight enough so that your feet don't slide forward and cram against the front. S. , from the Knobstone Trail in Indiana to Fairytale Falls in Yellowstone, Wyoming. These boots are awesome. I’ve put over 200 miles in them across some pretty rough terrain and they perform well. I like the tread on them, it’s best for dirt/mud, and the waterproofing is great, assuming you don’t go too deep and it comes in from the top. They are very comfortable and I have less issued with getting blisters in these compared to other hiking boots. I prefer the low Target II’s over the Targhee IV’s. They are the most comfortable shoes I've had and they are hard to wear out. They've handled long distant hikes over rocky trails above tree line to everyday walks on sandy beaches and pavement. They get wet and my feet stay dry as long as I don't completely submerge them and if I do they are still comfortable to hike in. They are my everyday all day shoe.
