I'm not some muscle guy either so not sure why the odd fit. Don't really want to go to XL as the sleeves will be way too long (large are already long for me). I'm an average size so not sure this will work for me. I wanted a lighter weight jacket for warmer weather, so I opted for the unlined Burr Jacket. I read the reviews that said it runs small, I am 6' 5\" and 250 lbs. so I bought the XXL. This was my mistake. My Lined Burr Jacket is XL and it fits fine, I should have stuck with that. However, I kept it so I could always layer under it if necessary. My complaints are 2-fold. 1) the hand pockets are ridiculously small. My hand barely fits beyond my knuckles, and this is the XXL! My lined Burr Jacket has larger, comfortable pockets, but the unlined Burr has tiny pockets. I can't use them. 2) Maybe because I went a size up, but this jacket catches any breeze and sends it up my front or back. It desperately needs a method to tighten the waist band.
