This is my sixth pair of Kuhl's Renegade Rock pants, and second pair of the latest generation (with the revised waist button). As usual, I love the room for my athletic thighs, and the tapered fit. And I am now considering the revised waist button an improvement over the previous design. Now the product is sold under the same name but the same size fits differently (waist and seat too small) and I can't buy an inch up because the retailer only carries even sizes. Unless Kuhl starts paying for free return shipping there's no way I'm risking wasting my time and money buying directly from you. I've already wasted enough time as it is. Then both of them started coming apart at the seams, literally. The stitching is far below what is expected of $100 pants, they BOTH came apart at the crotch, the cuff, and the pocket seams. I bought two pairs of these pants a year ago and I have worn them almost every day since. They are good everyday pants in general, but I do also use them for rock climbing and hiking occasionally. - Material: Very light, breathable, and stretchy. These are great summer pants, but they do okay in the cold as well. The material has put up with some occasional exercise/climbing/stretching/hiking along with the daily use for a year. They still look pretty much like the day I bought them (except for the small varnish stain... whoops). - Fit: I've never had a pair of pants fit me so well. I love the rise. I hate pants that show your butt when you bend over, and that's never been a problem with these. The taper is nice too. It is equally roomy and fitting in the thigh, but slims through the calf. I wish every other pair of \"slim-fit\" pants and jeans I've purchased fit like these do. - Features: The phone pocket is genius. I can't wear pants without it now. I also really like the zipper pockets in the back, so I don't have to worry about my wallet ever slipping out. The drawstring cuff is nice when I use these for rock climbing, but otherwise I don't think I need it. They have a small loop on the back loop which could maybe be used to hang dry them or to carry something when climbing or hiking, but I've never felt a need for it. - Suggestions: I wish these came in a true black instead of the dark blue-grey. It's dark enough that it looks almost black at a distance, but just a solid standard black option would be nice. I also think that these are a little overly branded. I wish they didn't have the bright blue detail on the left phone pocket and the big logo on the back belt loop. These pants are made for rock climbing but I end up wearing them every day pants because I love the fit so much.
