I am in MN and use it every day from Nov- March. I have a black one which is great for not showing wear. I have used it to Cross country ski, hike, clear snow or any sort of outdoor activity. It has mesh in the armpits and vents nicely when involved in a winter workout. It is so light I hardly know I am wearing it. The tailored fit makes is look great all the time. If I need more warmth I wear my spyfire vest underneath it. The chest pockets are great for keeping car keys safe and close at hand. The inner pocket inside the coat holds hats nicely when not in use. Hand pockets have zippers to keep items like gloves secure when I get too warm. The soft collar feels good against my neck as well. Can't say anything bad about the jacket. Just purchased a new one but noticed it has a plastic main zipper.
