As someone with flat feet, the 990 line has been my go-to since 2006—until now.\n\nThe V6 causes significant foot and ankle pain. I developed persistent discomfort that I couldn't identify until I stopped wearing them—the new design was the culprit.\n\nThe problem: the V6 feels deceptively cushy at first, but that softness wears out quickly. Once the top layer compresses, you feel a painful structure underneath. The last two pairs caused discomfort just wearing them around the house during try-on.\n\nThe quality doesn't match previous versions. I have a pair of V5s that are 4+ years old and holding up better than my 2-year-old V6s.
