It is really hard for me to get shoes that fit because of the anatomy of my feet but the Oboz fit me better than any shoe I ever bought except for custom made boots I once bought. I also have plantar fasciitis and I usually don’t have much trouble during or after a hike. In 2022 I ordered SawtoothX in size 13 from REI to try and reduce the bruising on my toenails. While the Sawtooth have been as comfortable as Firebrand, they are not nearly as reliable. \nI wear these hiking shoes exclusively for backpacking. Firebrand has around 600mi and Sawtooth has around 200mi. The Sawtooth toe-cap seam has separated on both shoes after less than 3 years and 200mi, but the Firebrand is still intact after 6 years and 600mi.
