I am size 9, but knew they fit large.\n\nWith fitment out of the way, I wanna say the boots look incredible. The colors are great (no reflective stuff, a good, dark woodsy palette) and the lace-tucking in the tongue is awesome. The tread is solid, and the boots have served me well from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the high desert of Colorado, and everywhere in between.\n\nVery durable, waterproof, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. (5 old pairs). Based on this experience, I recently purchased the new X Utra Tracker, which is the same size. \r\n\r\nInitially, the fit felt as expected—slightly tight, as new boots often do. However, after a few steps, the boots stretched and felt much looser than my previous models.\r\n\r\nWhen I attempted to exchange the boots for a smaller size, I was told it wasn’t possible because I had removed the tags and I tried them on. How was I supposed to know this model would fit so differently without trying them on? There was no indication of changes to the sole design or sizing on your website or product materials.\r\n\r\nI hoped Salomon would provide a smooth solution, but customer service left me with none. When I tried to exchange them for a smaller size, I was told it wasn't possible because I had removed the tags and worn them.
