The palm grips and ability to use my phone is also nice. However, I found these gloves to be lacking in cold protection in wind and really cold temps. They were OK to wear while driving my car when the heat was on, but otherwise, they really didn't keep my hands very warm. Might be good for chilly days of spring and autumn when going out hiking or walking, but I don't recommend these for the really cold winters in the northeastern
