This was a rather large con as I discovered it at the start of a 10+ hour wet and rainy day.\n\nIf the waterproofing isn't a big deal, then I highly recommend these shoes. I can't recommend it as a back country hiking shoe. I need a waterproof shoe for rainy weather in Washington winters. So far, it has kept my feet relatively dry. I'm a big guy over 200lbs and I am hoping it like previous North Face shoes in that holds up well over a long period of time.
